CFEC Extraction Plants  

CFEC researches and develops series of advanced technology to optimize its design in extraction process and making new equipment with more advanced performance, high efficiency, more safety and reliability and better environment protection as well. CFEC is leading the world oils industry by high capacity of the extractor, more economized energy, lowest solvent consumption, safe performance, easy operation and maintenance and environment protection. The extraction capacity is from 300 t/d to 12,000 t/d, the largest capacity of one extraction line is 12,000 t/d.

Crown Extractors:

In 1948 the first solvent extraction plant was built. Since then, over 200 extractors have been supplied worldwide for capacities up to 7,000 tons/day. Crown's pioneering spirit has continued to lead the field with innovative designs based on capacity increases, energy efficiency, solvent conservation, safety improvements, and general ease of operation and maintenance.

Crown Extractor (Model III):

The capacity of the single machine can be up to 12,000 TPD. Specially designed extractors mainly consist of fixed stainless steel screens and a chain driving system. The material falls from the upper to the lower section, such a ¡®turning-over' of the material re-mixes the flakes, and break any unpercolated crust formed on the surface making the flake feed homogeneous and easy to extract. Rakes inside the extractor corrugate the surface of the material bed. A wide spraying and flexible spraying method with good penetration and quick draining ensure of an excellent extraction efficiency. The low solvent contained material will allow a stable running of the DTDC and makes low steam consumption as well. The Extractor is fully automatic controlled by computer with low maintenance cost.

FEC Extractor (Patented Design):

Special designed and patented. The moving parts are reduced to a minimum so that the troublesome and shut down can be avoided to the minimum. Unique top and bottom two sections and ¡®turn-over' mixing system make the material rotated thoroughly to get a high efficient extraction. The revolution can be automatically controlled. Equipped with advanced vent discharge control system and alarm, safe interlock system.

Crown / Schumacher DTDC:

In 1976, Crown became the first and only U.S. company to obtain a license from Heinz Schumacher for the DTDC. Since then, Crown has modified and improved the design and produced over 130 of the most efficient DTDC's, DT's and DC's ever built. It is known today as the Crown/Schumacher design.

Characteristics of Crown / Schumacher DTDC:

•  Over 130 Crown/Schumacher DT's, DC's and DTDC's had been installed throughout the world.

•  Seven Crown DTDC's are capable of producing 8.5% of world soy meal production.

•  Crown/Schumacher DTDC's operate on soybeans, canola, rapeseed, sunflower, peanuts, cottonseed, corn germ and woodchips;

•  Significantly lower steam usage and distinctly lower solvent losses due to unique, counter-current flow;

•  More stable meal temperature in all lower trays allows a greater degree of safety;

•  Automatic level control through chutes and variable rotary valves means less operator attention;

•  Low vapor velocity, means less fines carried by vapors;

DTDC

The advanced automated control through frequency conversion interlock for the material level and discharge. Each tray height is designed scientifically. With high efficiency and energy economized, first class of the quality and process can be guaranteed. Special designed steam perforations allow a full contact between steam and material.

Vacuum Distillation:

Economic condensation area arrangement controls balances the whole system. Different section will be controlled through different vacuum to get a very low energy loss during the evaporation.

Solvent/Water Separation:

Scientific Solvent/Water Separator construction, with long time of separation, can achieve best efficiency. The forced recirculation process can ensure that only clean and pure solvent can find its way into the extractor.

Newly Up-graded Solvent Vent Absorbing & Desorbing System:

Absorbing and releasing of solvent vent via mineral oil, coupled with solvent vent compensating system, it can make solvent losses in extraction plants ditch to a new low.
